I am trying to cut out my phone number. It has several numbers with open centers, i.e., 8 and 0. Everything looks fine until I weld and then the centers go solid.

I tried using the oval creator to put the openings back in but have to weld it again and then I'm back to square one.

I have had this happen to me some times also.. and I still have it happen if it the 1st file of the day I am working on.. so a few things you could try that help me.. 1 change the text to a cut path then weld each number individually.. 2nd I save the file then close it then reopen and they try the welding.. still weld one number at a time.. 3rd Select just the oval and inner shapes and pull them all the way to the front.. then weld. Hope this helps.

You need to first select your entire file so it has the little black boxes around it, then top of the screen click on SHAPE then TRANSPARENT GROUP, that will allow the insides not to disappear.
